Dispatch controls operational capacity. Sales books what's open.
Delivery hours, trucks, drivers, blackouts, and blocked periods are set by Dispatch. The scheduling engine recalculates sellable availability from those parameters, and the Sales desk can only consume windows the system has confirmed — for paid or COD orders.
What can we operationally deliver?
Operating days and hours, window length, per-window limits, trucks, drivers, PTO, call-outs, maintenance, blackout dates, and manual capacity blocks with a logged reason.
What availability can Sales offer?
Every window is recomputed from live parameters. When a truck goes out of service, availability shrinks immediately and confirmed deliveries surface as conflicts instead of being cancelled.
Which open slot does this paid customer want?
Enter the customer, address, and payment status. Check availability any time; consume capacity only when the order is PAID or COD.
Permissions are enforced in the database, not just hidden in the interface — a Sales account cannot change trucks, drivers, hours, or blocks through any request.
